SSC’s tennis star Ethan Tulliani is continuing to make headway as he tries to crack the ITF Pro Circuit on his European sojourn.

Most recently Ethan has competed at a number of tournaments in Bulgaria, having previously been based in France.

The 24-year-old competed at the Stara Zagora Cup where he went down to American Lazar Dokov in a tight contest.

Playing in windy conditions Ethan lost the first set and was down a break in the second, he fought back to level the scores at 4-4 however couldn’t maintain his momentum, going down 6-3 6-4 on the indoor clay surface.

From there he travelled east to compete in the Burgas Cup Pro Circuit. Ethan came up against a strong local competitor, Aleks Martinski in qualifying and was unfortunately soundly beaten in straight sets.

Ethan also competed in the main draw for doubles, partnering American Lazar Dokov. They played a pairing from Estonia and Lithuania that had reached the semi-finals in Stara Zagora.

Considering they had never played together Ethan and Lazar were extremely competitive but ultimately went down 6-4 6-2, having lost five games in short deuce.

Ethan next visited Blagoevgrad for a singles match against Bulgarian Gabriel Evtimov. He came out strongly, taking the first set, however having suffered from an illness in the lead up couldn’t maintain his stamina, going down in three sets.

The next challenge would be the doubles where Ethan teamed up with a fellow Aussie. Stay tuned to see how the pair went and to read more about his travels.
